ESN Mechelen is an internationally minded student association that has provided a place for internationals degree seekers, exchange students and internationally minded Belgian people, since 2019.
Our goal is to enrich the student life in Mechelen through a platform for internationalization and integration. Simply said, ESN aims to help all students in Mechelen to have a fantastic time.
We do this by organizing many great activities, parties and trips! Some examples are: Pub Crawl, City Tour, Karaoke, Speed Friending, City Trips, Language Cafe, Find the Impostor and many Social/Volunteering projects
If you want to improve yourself personally or academically, you are also at the right spot at ESN Mechelen.
You can become active in one of our committees or projects. Think about writing for our social media posts, organize activities for different groups of people, be a DJ, guide new students, or take pictures during events! To learn more about our committee, please check the board page.
Also, don’t forget there is more to ESN than just Mechelen! We are part of a bigger international association as it is ESN, with presence in multiple countries and a lot of people participating as well.
Every 2 or 3 years a new ESN section opens doors to new students. We are expanding our reachability to more parts of the world for a better, more connected student life!
Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is one of the biggest student associations in Europe. It was born on the 16th October 1989 and legally registered in 1990 for supporting and developing student exchange.
We are present in more than 1000 Higher Education Institutions from over 40 countries. The network is constantly developing and expanding.
We have around 15,000 active members that are in many sections supported by so called buddies mainly taking care of international students.
Thus, ESN involves around 40,000 young people offering its services to around 350,000 international students every year.
